London Benchmarking Group (LBG) is the first service for evaluating the performance of corporate community involvement (CCI) programs in Romania.
LBG is internationally one of the most elaborate instruments in this field and is based on the contribution and cooperation of its members that work together in order to:
Measure, benchmark and share the inputs, outputs and impact of their work
Develop and improve the benchmarking procedure
Improve the implementation and management of their CCI programs
Communicate effectively the results of their CCI initiatives to all interest stakeholders and other national LBG groups
The LBG is used by more than 100 major companies like Vodafone, HSBC, Nestle, Diageo, Procter and Gamble both at international level and on important markets like the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany or Spain.
Professionals use LBG as the main source for consistent and comparable information regarding their financial, pro bono and volunteering contributions. Moreover LBG is used as a way to capture results and impacts that CCI initiatives generate in their companies and communities.
Association for Community Relations is the only organziation in Romania accredited as a country facilitator to manage the LBG instrument.
If you are interested to join the Romanian LBG Group as a founding member, or as a trial member, Ioana Brasovean, the LBG coordinator can offer additional information and

On 10th-11th April 2008 Cluj Napoca hosted the 5th edition of the Community Fundraising Conference! We thank all of those who were present to the event, who shared their experience and ideas.
90 participants from all over the country, 50 non- profit organizations and over 20 resource persons (practitioners, consultants, business representatives) were present there. The event brought together fundraising practitioners and organizations interested in methods, instruments and internal aspects that can contribute to the development of this process in organizations.
ARC contributes to effective mobilization of private resources for public interest causes.
For this, ARC builds the capacity of and relations between existing actors involved in private giving and fundraising, creates and develops new specialized institutions and promotes a supportive environment for the resource mobilization field in Romania.
Vision
People and companies donate funds and in kind resources to support transparent and effective organizations and long term development. This contribution is valued by the society. Effective mechanisms and institutions are in place to support private resource mobilization.
